Alyson is an associate lawyer at Sweatman Law, and is part of the estate litigation team. In 2008, she graduated with an honors Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and in 2012 she obtained her law degree from Bond University in Australia. Alyson was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013.
Alyson joined Sweatman Law in 2018 to pursue her passion for litigation and interest in estate law. Prior to joining Sweatman Law, Alyson articled at a well-known personal injury law firm in Windsor. She then went on to own a personal injury practice in Toronto, which provided her with a tremendous amount of litigation experience. Alyson has appeared before the Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, License Appeals Tribunal, and the Social Benefits Tribunal.
Alyson has held a number of volunteer positions during her legal education and career. While completing her law degree, she was vice president of the Canadian Law Students Association and assisted in the creation of a Canadian based moot. Alyson has also led young women as a Girl Guide leader and is currently an active member of the Halton community and a representative of the Milton Heights Property Owners Association.
