Elise summered with Sweatman Law between her three years at law school. She returned to Sweatman Law as an articling student for the 2017-2018 term. While working for the firm, Elise has been involved in estate litigation, estate planning and estate administration files and has contributed to works on powers of attorney and substitute decision-making.
She graduated from McMaster University with an Honours BA in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour in 2010 and obtained her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2017.
While at law school, Elise received the course award for her work in the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, where she helped low-income individuals draft their court documents and guided them through the litigation process. She also volunteered at various events to support both local and national charitable organizations.
