Passing of Accounts in Oakville, Georgetown & the Surround Area

An important responsibility of an Estate Trustee or Attorney for Property is to keep detailed records of their administration of the estate’s finances to satisfy the incapable person or the estate’s beneficiaries. In certain circumstances, this responsibility may extend to the passing of accounts. A formal process in which the fiduciary accounting is presented for approval by the court; will be required in situations where a beneficiary challenges the handling of the estate or in cases where a beneficiary is not legally capable of approving the accounting. A person does not have the legal authority to approve the accounts where he or she is a minor or is mentally incapable.
